Do you feel in control of the club head?
Club head accuracy and speed - it's the name of the game. To manipulate the club head with accuracy, you need to strengthen the muscles that grip, flex, extend and rotate your hand and wrist. The group of muscles that most determine the speed of your club head is in your shoulders, specifically your rotator cuff muscles. Here's a "back in the old-old days" viewpoint for you - men and women didn't used to have to worry about developing these muscles. Carpal tunnel syndrome was hardly ever mentioned. The amount of daily physical activity led to forearms that even Popeye would have loved to have! So it's become even more important to spend a small amount of time each week training these muscles. Not just to improve your game, but so you can prevent injuries by keeping your muscles at their biomechanical best!
