During a golf swing, the core remains stable and is what connects all the moving body parts around it. The spine is the heart of the torso and is the conduit which allows forces to be transferred effectively from the legs to the upper body during the golf swing. Strong core postural muscles withstand those forces without breakdown, allowing the golfer to maintain the spine angle throughout the entire swing. It is vital to strengthen all the muscles in your mid-section that allow you to transfer movement and power from the upper body to lower body and vice versa. The Core Strength Level 1 program incorporates a series of moves that strengthen abdominals, lower back, obliques, and hips. Pod PT™ is a unique system that uses still shot photos with word cueing as well as an audio cueing .mp3 file that can be changed out for your own music once you are comfortable with the proper form for the exercise or stretch. When you download a Pod PT™ program, you will receive a .zip file with the following items in it:
Pod PT™ Shots - workout images with text overlays. The images demonstrate the form the movement should take and the text overlays give you tips to remember as you perform the exercises. The suggested number of sets, repetitions and hold times are there for easy reference as well.
Pod PT™ Audio - it can really help to have an instructor talk you through a movement especially if it is a movement you haven't done before. The .mp3 audio cueing file that is included with your Pod PT™ for Golf program will talk you through one repetition of each movement that is part of the program. You can pause it to complete the rest of the repetitions or just keep going and use it as a once-through-every-move learning tool. Pod PT™ Program Detail Print Sheet - we said this product is thorough and we meant it! Print out a copy of the Program Detail for complete written instructions on how to perform the movement. It includes suggested sets, repetitions, hold times and rest between sets information as well.

Compatibility Pod PT™ for Golf uses jpeg formatted images and .mp3 files for audio. That makes them compatible with many handheld devices such as smart phones (like the Palm Treo or RIM Blackberry) or photo ready mp3 players (like the Apple iPod or Creative Zen). The recommended minimum screen size for readability is 220w X 176h (in words instead of numbers that is like the iPod Nano screen or bigger).
